Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy Students at Mission Inn Resort & Club

Every semester, Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy students give back to their home golf training facility by spending a day working on the golf course! This October, all Full-Time Program Students spent their Sunday caring for the Las Colinas golf course.

Students spent the day filling divots on the fairway with sand mixture and repairing ball marks on the greens. “This is an opportunity for the students to show how much they care about their training facilities.” says Bryan Mulry, Director of Golf. “This is another demonstration of these student’s professionalism and integrity.”

GGGA Teamwork!

This fall semester course care is important as it allows the grass to recuperate from use. Students helped repair pitch marks, divots and damaged spots while taking steps to help maintain healthy grass growth. This is an opportunity for students to work together as a team to give back to their home course.

At Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy our purpose is to build golf skills and to build character, producing well rounded and balanced individuals. “Our goal is to create a junior golf academy environment that is inspiring and motivating, providing the structure and tools to allow our students to reach their full potential.” – Gary Gilchrist
