GGGA claimed the 4th Annual Hurricane Junior Golf Tour Academy Cup over the weekend October 7-8, 2017 at Celebration Golf Course in Celebration, Florida.
GGGA won the Academy Cup with a 34 stroke victory over the nearest rival. In addition, GGGA took the leaderboards in almost every division! Congratulations to our Full-Time Training Program students for playing like champions! In Full-Time training, Champion wins are recognized as part of the Red Hat tradition. Congratulations to Isabella Cardenas and Pyae Phyo “Kenneth” Thu for taking first place in their divisions!
Isabella Cardenas took first place in the Girls 14-18 division at the HJGT Academy Cup.
Pyae Phyo “Kenneth” Thu took first place in the Boys 14-15 division at the HJGT Academy Cup.
In addition to these two championship wins, GGGA had many top finishers. In the Girls 14-18 division Pin Wen “Nicole” Lu came in second place and Tiffany Arafi came in third place. In the Boys 16-18 division, Alexander Liu tied for second place.
The performance from all of the players over the weekend was outstanding. We are proud of our student-athletes for their incredible scores and the support they provided to one another to lead GGGA to win the Academy Cup. GGGA students showed true passion for the game of golf and teamwork!
