Tseng, Pressel Paired to Begin Women’s British Open

Yani Tseng and Morgan Pressel, both of whom are coached by Gary Gilchrist, are paired together for the first two rounds of the Women’s British Open.

Tseng is seeking the defense of her 2010 Women’s British Open win at Royal Birkdale but this time will take on the hallowed grounds at Carnoustie.

On top of claiming one major already this year (the Wegman’s LPGA Championship, at which she bested the field by 10 strokes), Tseng also has a runner-up and a T15 in the other two majors. Pressel finished second to Tseng at Wegmans and also had a T3 and a T21 at the two other majors.

No doubt the duo will be in the mix come Sunday, maybe the pairing will even carry over into the weekend.

Other notable pairings include Suzann Pettersen, Paula Creamer and Sakura Yokomine, and Michelle Wie, Ai Miyazato and Na Yeon Choi.

Tseng and Pressel tee off at 11:59 a.m. off No. 1.
