GGGA student Maxime Blandin said last week upon signing his NLI to play for SMU that he wanted to win a couple more times to end his junior career.
And the senior from Martinque did just that.
Blandin, a student in the Full-Time Junior Program at GGGA, won the Moonlight Tour event Thursday at Mission Inn Resort, the home of the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy.
Playing the Las Colinas Course, Blandin shot a 2-under 70 to win and hold of a trio of players who tied for second, three shots back. Part of that group was GGGA post-graduate student Enrique Jaramillo of Colombia, who carded a 1-over 73.
Blandin was also recruited by Texas Tech, UCF, USF, New Mexico and UNF but joins a SMU team very much on the rise in Conference USA with the hiring of new coach Josh Gregory.
