The Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy brought home two wins and one top finish at the IMG Eagle Creek Junior Golf Tournament on October 22 and 23, 2016. Eagle Creek Golf Club is a Par 73 championship course in Orlando, Florida and hosted the two-day junior golf tournament that welcomes elite junior golfers from all over the world.

Junior golfers were greeted with an interesting weekend of weather that brought in a cold-front, presenting very windy and chilly conditions in the mornings and evenings. The change in climate means a change in approach for the students on the course and an opportunity to learn.

The coaching team at GGGA reinforces commitment to students during tournaments. “We teach the students that while the tournament ends, the dedication doesn’t.” says Susi Contreras, GGGA Coach. “We teach the students to adjust their approach in addition to their outlooks for every hole… and we saw some extremely talented golf this weekend in the face of some challenging conditions.”
