Top 3 reasons to come to GGGA, the best junior golf summer camp
There are many reasons junior golfers attend a golf summer camp. Some students want to stay on top of their game during their school break, others want to learn the game of golf while making new friends. GGGA Summer Camp has a lot to offer but we’ve compiled the top three reasons junior golfers choose GGGA:
1. You will play like a Champion.
Students that attend GGGA Summer Camp learn and grow in their golf game and go on to play their best. Many former summer campers go on to win tournaments. Here are a few of our most recent 2017 summer campers that went on to perform like champions:
Isabella Gomez Hjerthen
Age: 15
Home: Bogota, Colombia
Summer Camp Success: Isabella attended a two-week GGGA summer tournament camp mid-July. At the end of training, the students participate in the PJGT Gary Gilchrist Summer Series. She proceeded to win the girls 13 – 15 division. Upon returning to Colombia at the end of August, she became Champion of the 14 – 15 Girls Division at the Colombia National Junior Championship.
Felipe Ribadeneira
Age: 15
Home: Quito, Ecuador
Summer Camp Success: Felipe came to GGGA at the end of the summer. This month, he represented Ecuador at the South American Junior Championship in September finishing 5th (individual) for the tournament and helping the Ecuador team come in 2nd place.
Chih Yu “Aaron” Lin
Age: 13
Home: Taipei, Taiwan
Summer Camp Success: Chih Yu attended GGGA summer camp for a month in June to prepare for his summer tournament schedule. He proceeded to win two tournaments over the course of the summer on the PGA Southern California Junior Tour and place in top 6 in three more.
2. Leave with a plan.
The GGGA System of Training is designed around creating a personalized development plan for each individual. During our week-long camps, the students train under the Gary Gilchrist system as well as being placed through a series of evaluations both technically, physically and mentally.
The coaching team review the results of the assessments and create the individual development plan that includes before and after images of their key full-swing goals, drills to improve on the swing flaws and fitness exercises to support the technical goal. This plan is the foundation to each and every player’s development. As a result, each student leaves with the understanding of the structure and process which GGGA uses to train like a champion.
3. Have fun and make friends
While we love to train… we love having fun too! Campers get to enjoy activities every night and weekend to ensure our summer camp students are having tons of fun while improving their golf game! On weeknights, students have options for activities in housing as well as to local attractions. On the weekends, students have the opportunity for trips to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Seaworld and more!
